About
I am a Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about empowering my clients to build the skills they need to create a life worth living, in an environment that is empathetic, non-judgemental, warm, and where appropriate, light-hearted.
I have worked in both private and public settings, conducting individual therapy, facilitating a range of therapeutic groups, and performing psychometric assessments across the lifespan. I have experience working with a range of clients with presenting difficulties such as anxiety, stress, trauma, and interpersonal difficulties. I am particularly interested in working with adults, but as a Cool Kids trained therapist, I also enjoy working with children (and their families) who have difficulties related to anxiety.
I utilise a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches including CBT, DBT, ACT and other mindfulness-based approaches, which are integrated and individualised to meet the needs and goals of each client. I have previously conducted research in a range of areas including social interactions related to conforming behaviours, the management of psychotic symptoms, and resilience, focusing on the importance of a degree of separation between one’s thoughts and feelings, and their enduring self when managing stressful experiences.
